EDUCATION FACILITIES
This campus consists of seven buildings, as follows:
Bldg. "A" is the administration building. Buildings "B," "C," "D," and "S" are classrooms; building "G" is general purpose, with a gym, kitchen, and dining facilities. Building "M" is the library.
The whole campus is cooled by chilled water supplied by the chilled water plant. The chilled water plant has two Trane centrifugal chillers, weighing 435 tons each and 870 tons total. Heat is rejected through two Baltimore Aircoil Cooling Towers (408 cool tower tons each). Primary chilled water is pumped with two centrifugal pumps at 740 GPM each. Secondary chilled water is pumped by two centrifugal pumps with variable flow rates as per demand (equipped with VFDs). Air Handling Units (AHUs): There are 31 AHUs, some fan coil units (FCUs), and numerous ventilation fans. Some AHU systems are constant (CV), and some are variable air volume flow (VAV). VAV systems are equipped with variable frequency drivers (VFDs).
HVAC-Building Automation System: Trane DDC Tracer System All VAV terminals were set and calibrated through E-Ware software.
The project was completed on October 27, 2000.
